Contract 2026 Survey Launch

Since being elected to the Negotiating Committee in March, we have been hard at work preparing for openers next April. Hopefully you have already had a chance to look through the Contract History and Contract Comparison which have been published over the last few months. It is now time for the most important part of our preparation for Section 6 negotiations—the Contract Survey.

Contract Survey
It is difficult to overstate the importance of the Contract Survey. This survey is critical for the MEC to know where the priorities of the pilot group lie. Your representatives will use the survey data to determine the direction they give to the Negotiating Committee.

This survey is the best opportunity for you to make your voice heard and make sure that the issues you care about are prioritized by the MEC. Please make sure you complete the survey, talk to the pilots you fly with, and encourage them to do the same. Participation rates must be high for an accurate assessment of the Delta pilots’ priorities, so please take the time to share your voice. The survey opens today and will close on October 19, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. eastern time.

Contract Resources
The Contract 2026 website is now live and serves as a one-stop shop for all the information and communications related to our negotiations.

The Delta Pilots’ Contract History was published to the pilots on July 15. This document highlights the history of Delta and Northwest contracts dating back to the late 1900s.

The Delta Pilots’ Contract Comparison was published September 3. This apples-to-apples comparison shows how our PWA stacks up against the contracts at other carriers. It, as well as the Contract History, is published on the contract website and on your iPad in the Contract 2026 folder. For those of you that prefer printed copies, a limited number of physical copies were printed and are available via your LEC representatives.

After the survey is complete, the MEC will hold several special meetings in order to give direction to the Negotiating Committee. This direction will determine our priorities for the next contract.

Survey Instructions
There are three main ways to access the survey:

  1. The ALPA Economic & Financial Analysis (E&FA) department will send a weekly email to every pilot with a unique link to access the survey. Using that link will skip the requirement to log in to the system.

  2. Visit the contract website and click on the survey banner. If a pilot accesses the survey in this manner they will have to login. Your username will be your ALPA number, and your password will be your birth year (YYYY).
  3. This link will take you directly to the survey login page.

If you begin to take the survey but do not have the time to finish, you may save your responses and come back later to complete the survey.

You will have the ability to go back and change any of your answers on any page prior to submitting the survey. Once you submit the survey your answers are final, and you will no longer have access to the survey.

The survey contains numerous free text responses for pilots to submit any ideas that were not covered in another question. These answers will be analyzed with the assistance of AI to help ensure that no subject is overlooked. Please take the time to submit any additional potential improvements so that the MEC may consider them.

If you have trouble accessing or submitting the survey, please email efasurveys@alpa.org and put "DAL Survey" in the subject line. An analyst from ALPA's Economic & Financial Analysis department will get back to you within 48 business hours.

On behalf of the entire MEC, thank you for taking the survey and remaining engaged.

In unity,

Bill, Mike, Cash, and Ben
