Pilots may receive notice from Delta that an overpayment has been identified. In its current form, the letter includes the amount, a brief description of where the mathematical or other clerical error occurred, and supporting information.
The state where a pilot is based determines the statute of limitations for how long after the overpayment the Company may seek reimbursement. In situations where the statute of limitations has been exceeded, Delta may still send an overpayment notice and request a voluntary reimbursement.
Pilots who receive overpayment notices are encouraged to notify ALPA via the Overpayment Data Collection form. If a pilot believes the overpayment notice is erroneous, they should submit the form to the Contract Administration (Enforcement) Committee to verify the merit of the claim. Screenshots, emails, and PDFs of statements are helpful when investigating overpayments.
Pilots who believe they have been harmed by an overpayment reimbursement in the past and have not received resolution should also submit the form. Pilots who have already submitted the form to ALPA should expect to be contacted in the near future as we audit legacy submissions.

Several Delta MEC pilot volunteers attended the summit to receive hands-on training on ALPA policy priorities and engagement strategies with federal lawmakers. The event featured legislative briefings, workshops, subject matter expert (SME) presentations, a Capitol Hill reception, and a high profile “Lobby Day” to meet directly with members of Congress and staff.

Controller Simulator Event - June 1, 2026
On Monday, the Delta MEC Air Traffic Services (ATS) subcommittee, along with Delta Airspace Tech pilots, entertained FAA controllers from ATL Approach in a 757 simulator in ATL. ATS hosts several of these events per year to expose controllers to the pilots’ perspective while flying through their airspace. One simulator is worth 1,000 words as it relates to summer operations, safety hot spots, and trend analysis that are affecting operations daily.

A Crew Rest Optimization Team Update
As a response to a budgetary exceedance, the Company will be utilizing crew rest provisioning kits to control the volume of bedding on 330/350 fleets. Each kit should contain four pillows and four blankets. Until the 330 mattresses are replaced, all 330 flight crews will receive two sets per rest on each flight. Since the 350 mattresses have been replaced, the provisions have returned to a single set per pilot/per break.
- 330 crews with 3 pilots – 2 kits (8 pillows and blankets)
- 330 crews with 4 pilots – 2 kits
- 350 crews with 3 pilots – 1 kit (4 pillows and blankets)
- 350 crews with 4 pilots – 2 kits
Please FCR any feedback or reach out to the CROT via DART if you have any questions.

The 2,000-pound Telephone
When a pilot is struggling with overuse of alcohol or drugs, the most difficult phone call to make may be the call for help. It’s like the phone weighs a ton and is impossible to pick up. Your DPAC volunteers understand this, as each has made that difficult call. Shame and guilt are common symptoms of substance use disorder. The DPAC works with pilots to assist in understanding these difficulties. They provide the necessary information and answer questions, so pilots can request the assistance they need.
Where can I find more information?
If you or someone you care about is struggling with substance abuse and would like to confidentiality speak to a DPAC volunteer, please use the following contact information:
Because of the sensitive nature of your situation, you will only speak to the DPAC chairman or vice chairman. Your phone call is confidential and is never recorded.
