The Delta MEC is mailing C2026 swag to all pilots’ homes beginning this week. Be on the lookout for an envelope containing “Raise the Bar. Hold the Line.” bag tags and stickers as well as postcards with details on how to stay updated on negotiations and an upcoming all-pilot Family Awareness Event being held on May 17, 2026 in Peachtree City, GA (see below).
Your visible support of the Negotiating Committee provides leverage at the bargaining table. Display your bag tags and stickers to show the Delta pilots are unified and engaged.

Note: This podcast was recorded on April 1, 2026, prior to the 2026 1Q earnings call. Though some of the numbers referenced in this podcast have been slightly revised, the 2026 1Q earnings once again demonstrate Delta’s ability to generate a revenue premium. Total revenue for the quarter was a record-setting $14.2 billion, up nearly 10% from the same time last year.
As openers have been exchanged and Section 6 negotiations are officially underway, the noise is getting louder– with record profits, premium demand, inflation, and global instability. So, what’s real and what actually matters for pilots heading into Section 6? In this episode, host First Officer Ryan Argenta sits down with ALPA’s Senior Economic & Financial Analysis (E&FA) Analyst Rushi Patel to break down the numbers behind the headlines and decipher what they mean for pilot leverage right now. Delta is delivering record revenue and profitability, driven by a structural shift towards premium demand, strong brand positioning, and diversified revenue streams. But beneath the surface, macro risks still exist, and timing matters. The question isn’t just whether Delta can afford a deal. It’s whether pilots fully understand the position they’re negotiating from.
This conversation cuts through the noise:
- Why Delta and United are capturing over 100% of industry profits
- The real impact of premium cabin strategy and shifting demand
- How resilient the current economic environment actually is
- What inflation, oil, and geopolitics mean (and don’t mean)
- Why these negotiations are unique and not a repeat of the previous cycle
Bottom line: Pilots are entering negotiations from a position of strength - but strength without strategy leaves value on the table.
Be informed. Be engaged. And understand the moment.

The University of New Hampshire (UNH) is conducting telephone polling of the pilot group through April 19. 2026. If called, please take just a few minutes to share your feedback with the Delta MEC.
- All calls will come from the number 603-397-0660
- Caller ID on landlines will indicate "UNH Surv Ctr”
- Caller ID on cell phones will indicate “NH Call”
- Calling times are between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. (time zone appropriate)
- Interviewing 600 pilots (randomly selected)
- UNH will attempt to call you back if your sampling quota is not yet met.
As more carriers add “spam blocking” technology – some pilots (dependent on carrier) may receive a warning by their carrier that says “spam likely” when the call comes through. This warning gets generated based on the volume of calls UNH makes. UNH, in collaboration with industry groups, is working on solutions to this issue, but currently, doesn’t have a viable alternative other than notifying the pilots in advance. They can choose to add UNH’s number to their contacts, and as a result, will not receive a warning.

Pilot Volunteers Needed!
The Contract Administration (Enforcement) Committee is seeking pilot volunteers to help Delta pilots via phone, email, and DART with questions or issues related to anything in the PWA (other than Scheduling, Training, and Retirement & Insurance). The most common topics are Sick Leave, Advanced Entitlements, Vacation, and Leaves of Absence.
A working knowledge of these areas is necessary, but training will also be provided. Previous experience in contract work is preferred but not required. Volunteers normally work one week a month (Four- or Five-day weeks), 6 to 12 months per year in the ALPA office in Atlanta. Hotel accommodations are provided for volunteers who commute to Atlanta.
Pilots wishing to express a new interest or update a prior application can click here to complete the Volunteer Interest Form—select Contract Administration from the committee interest pull-down menu at the bottom of the page. Pilots who have previously submitted this form are not required to re-apply and will be considered based on their applications on file.

The 2000-pound Telephone
When a pilot is struggling with overuse of alcohol or drugs, the most difficult phone call to make may be the call for help. It’s like the phone weighs a ton and is impossible to pick up. Your DPAC volunteers understand this, as each has made that difficult call. Shame and guilt are common symptoms of substance use disorder.
DPAC works with pilots to assist them in understanding these difficulties. They provide the necessary information and answer questions, so pilots can request the assistance they need.
Where can I find more information?
If you or someone you care about is struggling with substance abuse and would like to confidentiality speak to a DPAC volunteer, please use the following contact information:
Because of the sensitive nature of your situation, you will only speak to the DPAC chairman or vice chairman. Your phone call is confidential and never recorded.
