The Delta MEC meet in regular session the week of November 18 at the Renaissance Midtown Hotel in Atlanta, GA. During the meeting, your elected representatives voted for new MEC Officer positions and received updates from current leadership, the Negotiating Committee (NC), and select committees on recent events and work being done on behalf of the Delta pilots.
MEC Officer Elections
The Delta MEC elected new MEC Officers whose terms will last from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2026.

- MEC Secretary: Council 044 ATL B737 Capt. Shane Corbett

The current MEC Officers will remain in office through the end of the year to ensure a smooth transition for the incoming administration.

Some Member-Facing Systems Unavailable
To maintain ALPA's systems with the most updated standards, the Information Technology Department will be upgrading the Association's membership system, Aptify. The system will be offline starting Friday, November 22, at 5 p.m. EST until Monday morning, November 25.
During this upgrade, several member-facing systems will be unavailable, including AIRO, FPL/PCS, DTS, My Account, ALPA PAC, Membership Application, Insurance Portal, and My Payments. Systems remaining online include email, DART, SPACS, SharePoint, Teams and all websites.

Offline Diversion Initiative
In recent months, stakeholders from Flight Operations, Flight Control, ACS, OCC Ops Management and ALPA's Central Air Safety Committee have been working on a process to provide timely and useful information to flight crews during offline alternate diversion events. This communication aims to inform pilots of the new processes and offer background information on Operations Specification C70: Airports Authorized for Scheduled Operations.

Upcoming Holiday Season
Thanksgiving marks the onset of the holiday season, bringing with it an increased level of activity at DPAC. It is crucial to take a moment to underscore the significance of safety and responsible drinking during this festive period. While the holidays often entice us towards indulgence, it's essential to remain mindful of potential consequences, even if they may not lead to legal issues. These excesses can sometimes pose challenges both at home and in our professional environments. Explore the diverse resources available on the DPAC page found on the Delta MEC website and at HIMSPROGRAM.com.
DPAC is comprised of dedicated volunteers who have personally undergone recovery and the HIMS process. They are here to address inquiries, protect the anonymity of pilots, and provide guidance to those interested in understanding more about the HIMS process. If you or someone you know is dealing with substance abuse and would like to connect with a DPAC volunteer, please use the contact information provided below:

Profit Sharing
The Company has already started to validate this year’s military duty for profit sharing purposes. Unless you are contacted directly by the Company requesting your orders, you do not need to submit anything.
Holiday MLOA Reminders
Most military pilots are used to notifying the Company of their military duty via iCrew which will normally drop an entire rotation. This is not the case when your duty includes days within a holiday APD period. Even if the military duty you are entering is outside of the APD period, but the remainder of the rotation is, you may get an error from iCrew. The easiest method to notify the Company of your duty is via the military leave log. Keep in mind that rotations in the APD holiday period may be split, leaving portions for you to operate. Ensure that any required travel to/from the location of your military duty is protected by using a travel day on either or both ends of your military duty time as permitted under FOM 27.5.7.2.
VA Disability Reminder
Ensure you accurately report any VA disability benefits on your FAA medical application. Failure to do so may result in your FAA Medical being revoked, disciplinary action, or both! Please submit a DART to the MAC if you have any additional questions.

Delta Pilot PUB Events
The Delta Pilot Network (DPN) hosts monthly Pilot Unity Building (PUB) events for all pilots.
The next monthly PUB event will occur on Tuesday, December 3, 2024. MEC Administration and committee members will be in attendance and available to discuss current topics or address any questions or concerns you may have. If the timing works for you, your presence at the PUB event is welcomed and encouraged.
